A record, kept.
A place, a practice, or a decision, documented to be cited rather than scrolled. The archive is where the house accounts for its own holdings.

ZINEHQ is an independent publishing house operating a numbered archive. Each title is a complete booklet — an archive, a dossier, or a playbook — commissioned, edited, and filed as a discrete unit rather than published as a dated post.
01 / The cabinet
Numbered, dated, and complete. Each issue is a standalone booklet rather than a post; the archive itself is the publication.
Every archive begins with a number, a date, and the decision to keep the thing.
A 32-page edition, 150 copies, priced honestly. Where the money goes before anyone buys a copy.
A one-day fair is a small business. Run it like one, and you can afford to come back.
02 / The format
The series structure is fixed; the subject matter is not. A dossier may address print economics, a playbook may address fair operations, and an archive may document why the collection is maintained.
A place, a practice, or a decision, documented to be cited rather than scrolled. The archive is where the house accounts for its own holdings.
001 filedA single subject examined through figures, sources, and a repeatable method. Evidence takes precedence over opinion.
001 filedA procedure tested against an actual table, an actual deadline, and an actual budget. Written for use rather than for display.

Most editorial projects fail on scheduling, not on quality.
A feed penalises silence; an archive does not. Three completed titles carry more value than thirty unfinished posts, and a numbered issue remains citable long after its publication week.
ZINEHQ is structured as a shelf rather than a stream: a collection of short, complete works that can be read in an afternoon and cited a year later. The next issue is released when it meets the standard for filing.

04 / The dispatch
No weekly digest and no growth updates. A short notice is sent when a title is filed, together with occasional corrections.
The domain and this edition are available for acquisition. The archive remains publicly readable regardless of the outcome.
