ZINEHQ is an independent editorial project. It is not a company, a platform, or a data business. The site is designed to be read without being measured.
What is collected
No personal data by default. There are no advertising pixels, no social embeds, no session recording, and no fingerprinting, and the site sets no advertising or tracking cookies. Page views are counted by Cloudflare Web Analytics, which is cookieless and reports only aggregate figures — page, referrer, country, device class. It cannot follow a reader across sites and does not build a profile.
Two preferences are stored in your browser: the colour theme and the text size (zinehq-theme, zinehq-text), kept in localStorage. They never leave your device. Clearing site data removes them.
Hosting logs
When the site is deployed, the hosting provider will process standard request logs — IP address, user agent, requested URL, timestamp, and response status — for security, abuse prevention, and aggregate reliability. Those logs are not used to build reader profiles. If the site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages, Cloudflare’s own privacy terms apply to that processing.
Email and subscriptions
There is no public mailbox. The subscription form on the home page is a preview: it does not send your address anywhere, does not add you to a list, and does not show a fake success message. When a real list exists, it will use double opt-in, a clear unsubscribe link, and a plain statement of what is sent.
If you email the desk once the mailbox is active, your message and address will be used only to answer you. They will not be added to a marketing list without your explicit request.
Third parties
There are no third-party fonts, CDNs, comment systems, or embedded media on this site. Typefaces are served from this domain. Outbound links to other sites are ordinary links; once you follow one, that site’s privacy policy applies.
Your choices
You can block JavaScript and still read every issue. You can clear the theme preference through your browser settings. You can use a content blocker without breaking the archive. There is no consent banner because there is nothing to consent to beyond the local preferences.
Children
The site is a general-audience publication. It does not create accounts, profile readers, or knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children.
Changes
If the site later adds analytics, a real subscription list, or a backend, this note will be updated before those features go live, and the effective date will change. The current version is 3 November 2026.
Contact
Questions about this note can be sent through the form on the acquisition page. This page is part of the preview edition; reading it collects no personal data.
